30th Anniversary!!

Dale surprised me with a quick trip up into the mountains by Sierra City to stay at the High Country Inn Bed & Breakfast! I had kept asking him if he had time to get away, and he always said, "oh, we'll see." And all the time he had this planned! What a romantic husband I have! Anyways, it was beautiful and relaxing and fun! Here's to 30 more great years!!

Sight-seeing included the Sears Tower, an afternoon at Navy Pier, and shopping along the Magnificent Mile! We also took in Chicago Pizza at Giordanni's. Yum! It was a great time with great friends. I was so glad that my friend, Julie Rothe, was able to go, and it was fun to get to know Cindy ( Mimi's aunt) and Cheryl.

CHICAGO Dance Team Trip

July 28th-31st we took our Lynn's Dance Arts dance team to Chicago to compete in a National Dance competition. We had a great time perfoming and sight seeing! As I visit each of these new cities I am always pleasantly surprised about how clean and beautiful they are! It was such fun acting like a silly teenager sometimes! The girls actually found out that I can be "so funny!"

Here is our team...of course Tiffany is on the team!!

We loved Amish country. We just drove around, looked at quilting shops, and enjoyed a delicious homemade pretzel. Well, actually two!!

Farmer John, ( the owner of the Bed & Breakfast) took us on a hayride, and then we were able to pet his cute little goats!

In February I was chosen by one of the dance costume companies that I buy from to be on their Advisory Board. They flew me out to York, Pennsylvania for four days and picked our brains about costumes. It was a neat experience. I decided to make a fun trip out of it, so I also flew Tiffany out, and after all of my meetings Taryn drove up to get us from DC and we went to Hershey, PA. We also went to a darling Bed and Breakfast in Amish country. It was the best breakfast ever!! Amish country was so cute!
